minimalism 12 - Iris Lehnhardt

Four strokes stand side by side on a pale grey ground: a narrow coral one at the left, a broad pale sage one beside it, then a band of fine black lines, and a heavy dark teal stroke that curls over at the top right. Each keeps the marks of the brush that made it.

Painted in acrylic, each stroke laid down in a single pass and left unworked. Iris Lehnhardt is a German visual artist who works in abstract painting, monoprint and collage, looking for a balance between minimal detail and layered colour. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
