botanical reminiscences 6 - Iris Lehnhardt

A thin stem carrying broad leaves prints in pale pink across a dark red-brown ground, running from the lower left to the right edge with a second sprig above it. The ink is thin in places, so the leaves break open and the ground shows through them.

Hand pulled monotype, the plant printed as a pale shape out of the dark ground. Iris Lehnhardt is a German visual artist who works in abstract painting, monoprint and collage, looking for a balance between minimal detail and layered colour. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
