A wave from the past - Tania Zubareva

A dark indigo wave breaks across the upper half of this square watercolour, its spray scattered into fine specks above a white horizon line. Below the line the paper turns to flat bands of olive, sand and grey, flecked with rust and charcoal, like a shoreline seen from above. The two halves meet without touching, held apart by a single pale seam.

The work is painted in watercolour on textured paper, where wet pigment has been floated across the sheet and left to granulate and settle on its own. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
