Breath of nature - Sabine Halbrock

A craggy ridge of grey, brown and black runs across the middle of the canvas, built so thickly that it casts its own shadow. A soft grey sky lies above it and a band of deep green closes the foot, and the whole surface is cracked and pitted like weathered stone.

Built in acrylic with textured material, the ridge modelled in relief and then washed over so the hollows hold the darker colour. Sabine Halbrock works in her studio in Hamburg with acrylic paint and textured materials on canvas. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
