Usual Landscape - Priit Ruttas

Thousands of short ballpoint strokes in blue, green and violet are laid over one another across a pale sheet. The scribble packs tight along the top and loosens towards the bottom, so a horizon and a dense band of trees appear out of the line alone. Nothing is outlined.

Drawn in ballpoint pen, built up from thousands of short overlapping strokes so the image appears out of the density of the line. Priit Ruttas draws to find new space, levels and dimensions in a picture, so that the eye keeps discovering something further each time it looks. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
