The Mountain Within - Fran Rodriguez

A figure in a black hooded robe stands against a painted sky of cloud and pale blue, and where the face should be there is an oval opening onto a mountain landscape: snow peaks, a dark pine slope and a band of cloud. One bare hand reaches up to hold the edge of the oval.

Built as a digital collage, with a photographed robe, a painted sky and a landscape cut into the shape of a face. Fran Rodriguez, who works as lacabezaenlasnubes, is a Spanish digital artist known for images of humanity's place in the universe, and has worked with bands including Weezer, Tame Impala and Tycho. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
