Suddenly Hello - Bent Hardervig

A wave breaks across the top of the picture in a spray of white foam, and below it the water lies in broad bands of turquoise and grey-green. Small flecks of foam scatter over the surface, and the lower edge breaks into white again. There is no horizon and no sky.

Worked up from a photograph of the sea, the colour softened and the water reduced to broad bands, so the picture reads almost as a painting. Bent Hardervig is a well-known Danish graphic artist and author, with a long list of art prints and books behind him. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
