House by the Water - PaKart

A tall pale house with a red door stands at the foot of a dark cliff, with lower houses and red roofs spreading away to the right. The water in front carries the whole village back as broken reflection, and the sky above is worked in pink, turquoise and ochre.

Painted in thick impasto with the knife, the walls and the water built from flat slabs of colour laid edge to edge. PaKart was trained by the Irish painter Alan Ardies and now paints local scenes on the coast of Murcia in south-east Spain. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
