Swedish, 38 year old artist. I started painting in 2013 while staying at a treatment center for my OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), and the creative process has been incredibly important to me ever since. Color, pattern, and simple shapes are what matter most to me—colors that vie for space, clashing and repelling one another yet somehow blending together. Colors that "shouldn't go together" transform into something soothing. I am always drawn to combining peaceful, cozy subjects with loud patterns and colors. I draw inspiration from artists like Matisse and Frida Kahlo. My art is a blend of naivism and expressionism.
